Life in Year 6
Ancient Egypt
Year 6 are learning all about Ancient Egypt and have enjoyed a visit to Bolton Museum (to see a genuine mummy!). We are reading 'Ma'at's Feather' as our class novel and are looking forward to our Egyptian themed English work.
D&T
Year 6 have designed and made a moving fairground ride and are now planning and designing to make a cushion.
Art
Year 6 have been studying Dadaism as part of their art lessons. The children captured the essence of Dadaism brilliantly in their finished pieces of work.
Homework Project: To build a WW1 model trench

Reading for Pleasure at Home
Year 6 you have a wonderful treat this year - you have the chance to pick a book to read at home whilst enjoying a hot chocolate!!!!!! There are 10 special bags to chose from and they each contain a book, a book review and a hot chocolate sachet. Mrs Wolff wants you to sit back, relax, enjoy a good book and a comforting, delicious drink. When you have finished your book fill out the book review so we know your thoughts on it.
P.E
P.E will be on a Thursday afternoon with Coach Tom. Please come into school wearing your P.E kit -black/navy jog pants can be worn and trainers.
Our Past Academic Years
Take a look through just some of the photographs from our last academic year. Some of the highlights include topic homework projects (we had some very creative children who made wonderful models of WW1 trenches and volcanoes), an outdoor pursuits trip, explosive science experiments, some reflective moments, special CAFOD assemblies (via Zoom), D&T projects and much, much more. What a year !
