School Council 2023 - 2024

Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community. The School Council is elected by our pupil body.

Hustings 

We held hustings and the following students were elected by their peers.

The school council meets every two weeks on a Tuesday. We hold a class meeting every week to discuss ideas from and for the main meeting.

Current ideas:

• Children playing music in assemblies
• Competitions
• Fundraising for craft activities for break times

MacMillan Coffee Afternoon

The School Council's first project for the academic year was a huge success.

The children organised and ran a coffee afternoon for MacMillian. They sold cakes at morning playtime, and in the afternoon welcomes parents into school to buy a coffee and a cake.

This was a very well supported and a huge thanks goes to all who supported the event - from buying a cake to providing the cakes we enjoyed.

We raised £320!

The school councils next meeting will be to discuss and confirm the aims of the council for 2022 - 2023.

They will also be deciding the best use for the CAFOD money we have raised.
